Hi everyone!
Looking for tips/suggestions to help with staying positive during this journey. I’m an empath so I (sometimes annoyingly) feel my emotions quite deeply. Sometimes it just hurts feeling like everyone else around you is getting pregnant and then the doubt starts to creep in… “maybe something’s wrong with me? Maybe I’m not timing everything right? Etc”
I’ve been trying to combat the doubt by saying our little one is coming very soon and that I have to make sure I’m making my body the best environment for her/him.
Any additional suggestions for how to remain hopeful?
Thanks and baby dust to all ✨

May i know how long you have been trying? Your feelings are very normal. I think every woman at some point has convinced themselves they will struggle with fertility. I know I felt that way for sure! Keep the faith. There are all sorts of inspiring stories on here. One things that helps me is trying to trust the timing. Easier said than done i know! I have 2 kids and I am so glad i have them. It feels like i was meant to have them specifically and the timing of their conception was just right...even if it wasnt what i had planned. Hope that makes sense!

@kimandeli,
this is month 4 of TTC. I know four months isn’t long in the grand scheme of things; however, it feels much longer because we wanted baby for ~1.5 years now but we wanted to have a few things in place first (such as purchasing our home).
And yes, it totally makes sense. Thank you for your kind words

My situation is a little different because I do already have two children.
But we started trying for #3 back in November, and have had two miscarriages since then. My due date for my first MC is coming up in August and it's getting harder as that gets closer. It suddenly seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant.
In my heart I know our family isn't complete yet, I'm just trying to hold onto that hope.

I’ve been feeling the exact same. This is only our 3rd cycle trying…but I had a miscarriage in February and that has put tons of doubt in my head about fertility.
I have one child already whom we conceived right away, first try. But that was more than 4 years ago.
It makes it hard for sure when you’re in reproductive age and see friends etc. getting pregnant. I’ve been feeling sort of resentful lately and just generally frustrated. I have this cloud of worry hanging over me.
Another poster mentioned timing and that’s what I’m trying to lean on at this point. Instead of trying to control everything, just letting the universe take the wheel. It’s easier said than done obvi lol but that’s the goal.

@rcass6,
I’m sorry about your loss :(
I definitely understand that feeling of worry. I’ve been trying to combat with the fact that I’m *technically* still at an age where doctors don’t consider me “advanced maternal” and should still have happy healthy eggs in my oven.
And yes, it seems like everything boils down to timing. Fingers crossed that our positive results are coming super soon!

@TBB2020,
I had that same feeling last cycle and seeing that negative hit so much harder this time. It likewise felt (and still feels) like I lost something that could have been.
Fingers crossed that our positives are on the way very very soon!

I try to tell myself the same that my baby is coming when they’re ready I had a chemical last June we’ve been wanting one ever since. This is my first month ttc with LH & bbt I’m nervous tht if it doesn’t work I’ll get too discouraged

Don’t change a thing your feelings are common, normal, and healthy. Don’t need to rid feeling discouraged… it sucks and sitting with that discomfort until it naturally passes is just fine, too. If you can take a few days to mosey around and then do something that brings you joy to get back into things!

@Lmr8690,
thank you ☺️ Yes, I’ve been taking more time to do things that bring me joy (reading and watching true crime shows hahaha)
Semi ironically, setting up a room in our home for future baby brings me joy. It encourages me to stay positive and that little baby will fill the room with her/his presence soon!

totally normal and valid feelings whether it's your first or 50th cycle, your first or fourth kid!
we are 7 months in TTC baby #3. just started my period again today, so I'm back to square one. feel completely defeated at this point, considering my first two were one cycle! I think we just keep missing the ideal timing because my husband is only home two nights at the weekend. looking at my calendar, it looks like we might miss it again this cycle, and it's so frustrating! but can't give up hope, we will still try this month and keep faith that it'll happen at the right time 🤍

@rjandco,
hoping that this is your cycle to conceive babe #3
I’m tracking my bbt this cycle (as well as restarting my OPK testing) to make sure we’re catching the “right” time as I also think we’re missing the window. Ironically, I thought tracking was stressing me out but the cycle where I skipped tracking was more stressful
